Take Safety Precautions

After this, check that all the leads that need to be plugged into the back of your PC are actually plugged into the back of your computer, and in the correct sockets, the correct way up. If something isn’t plugged in properly, it’s probably just because it’s come loose over time, which is a common Computer problem.

Is Everything Back In Place?

If you tried to go the extra step when had a Windows crash you were last PC troubleshooting, then check to see that you put everything back the way it could be. When you’re playing with the internal parts, it’s incredibly easy to forget a screw or put something back slightly incorrectly, which has caused loose circuitry, ending in an entire system shutdown.

If when you were last PC Troubleshooting you didn’t have a clue what you were doing, then you probably still don’t know, so get someone who does to rectify the problem. You’ll only make it worse if you try it yourself.

Checking The Fans

Cooling fans in your system are intended to keep the system cool, as you may expect. Your PC has an optimum temperature, so an important part of PC troubleshooting is to make sure that it runs at this temperature by cleaning out the fans. Computer parts get hot, and if they get too hot they won’t work, so remove dust from the fan and check it still spins freely without getting stuck.

Once you’ve checked everything on the outside is in good order, switch your computer on. If it refuses to even show a light, the next step of PC troubleshooting is a trip to your local computer store to get it looked at. If on the other hand it springs to life but still isn’t working as you’d quite hoped, use the troubleshooting programs located within the PC to sort out any further problems.

PC Check Up

Exhausting all methods of basic PC troubleshooting should be quick but with any luck will solve your problem. If not, then take it to a professional. If they can’t get it sorted, no one will, and once again, throwing it out the window becomes an attractive option.

There are two types of VoIP phones: hardware and software.

Voice over IP Controllers
VoIP controllers, also called IP PBXs, manage the VoIP network. They are actually tools that you can use to configure your IP phone: restrict access, enabling functions and passwords, allowing/not allowing certain options, etc. Plus they are performing all the functions of a traditional PBX. IP PBX controllers are PC-based, running a standard OS (such as Microsoft Windows, Linux or Sun Solaris, but very different) with additional software to control the Voice over IP systems. These Voice over IP systems can provide APIs to extend vendor-provided or user-written features and functionality.

Internet Telephony Routers
Voip Routers are devices that decide where the IP datagrams should go, between networks, from the source to the destination. Internet Telephony Routers are inter-network equipments that help a LAN connect to a WAN; therefore the router’s capability to ensure correctly handled high-priority traffic is very important. Since WAN speeds have generally less bandwidth than a LAN, proper packet queuing and prioritization is in order to ensure good voice quality across the path.

Gateway
A IP-telephony device is a device that connects the VoIP network to your public telephone network (PSTN). In this way, you can make calls and receive them, from your PTSN, even if you are using an IP-based system, just like your traditional phone. Depending on the type of the gateway, they are equipped with analog/digital interfaces in order to connect to your local telephone company. With so many options available today, gateways are also capable of transcoding (changing the signal from one codec version to another so that the Voip device can communicate with the rest of the network). For example, a gateway uses G.729 codec, while your PTSN network uses a G.711 codec.

I believe that his intent was to steal it and say that he bought one because he doesn’t have one for himself and he was always fawning over mine, saying how cool it is . That’s what I would have done. I would never have to thieve an iPod anyways so I guess this is a mute point . If I wanted one badly enough and I didn’t have one I would go buy it instead of ruining someone’s week by stealing theirs . So what if I borrowed his car last week without telling him? And, yeah, I did scratch it, but not badly. You would barely notice it. You actually can’t even tell that there are scratches there unless you really look or have the right lighting . I had no clue he was uninsured, how was I supposed to ? I pay no attention to where his money goes . What he should have done was go find a crooked body shop and have had them sand it down and then do them a favor later. It really wasn’t a big deal at all, but he thinks he has to get even with me. He will never succeed at revenge . I guarantee it.

Most people who run the free clients and then switch to a paid version and run a full system scan find many traces that they had no idea about.

If you do not go with an internet security suit then you need to at least ensure you get a client that has both a good anti-virus scanner and an anti-spyware scanner. Far too many people just get an anti-virus scanner just to find it does not solve their issue because they had spyware as well. Another good point to make is to run your security product in safe mode after you have updated it. Running security clients in safe mode ensures you remove all the virus and spyware traces on your computer.

Additionally, use a strong password for any web site that you access via a login. The password should be a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols, and the longer you make your password - though it should be easy for you to remember - the more secure your data online.

I keep thanking God that she took the Escalade instead of the mini-coupe . She didn’t know it then, but with everything that would happen that day it was probably what saved her life. When the Data Recovery was finished, and the Escalade was finally returned, we were in shock. It was a gorgeous morning in Chicago, without a cloud in the sky so I didn’t mind taking the mini-coupe . My drive is much shorter, so I always take the Honda. It seemed as if an instant after my thinking that it was a beautiful morning the winds started blowing and my car basically started shaking and veering all over the road . If I would have put the radio on, like I did every morning, I would have known about the tornado, as I found out later that the warnings were everywhere . Unfortunately I was not listening to the radio, instead I was listening to an audio book . Mara had just gotten to town and the thing hit right in the center of downtown. The tornado made a path of destruction through the epicenter of downtown . The tornado took off part of the Nieman Marcus building as well as the Trump Tower . Mara slammed on the brakes and ditched the Escalade. She ran into the old bank building, which is why she is alive today. Almost two weeks later they found the Escalade and returned it in the condition it was in, which it might as well have been a matchbox .
I couldn’t have been happier for Joe, his business was doing really well . We sold more cars last year than any other dealer in the Madison area. The one downfall of winning such a great award as a car salesman is, how does one retain customers . We kept on meeting and discussing the most inexpensive ways of getting some sort of computer system, on which we could keep everyone’s names, addresses, date of purchase, and all that. Currently we’ve been keeping yellow copies of the purchase and warranty receipts in folders marked alphabetically. Recently, though, we’ve obtained so many new customers that we’re running out of room, both in the folders and in the office! Joe and the other salespeople have been racking their brains. It was starting to get frustrating, because we haven’t been able to find anyone in the area who could help us get this thing going at a reasonable offer. One lazy afternoon we had a guy walk in with a briefcase, looking very professional . Back to the web gallery – people can see it, people can order prints from, and what I think is absolutely the coolest thing about it is people can add their own pictures to it. Say I went on a vacation to Alaska, If I went with some other people and they took pictures as well, they can add their pictures to my gallery. This whole easy sharing of information that Mac brings is exactly what I was looking for in a Online Data Storage.

Another thing that bothered me about some of these so-called companies was the fact that they used popular companies logos, where is the creativity people?! . I think I have two options now, I can either use Apple’s Mac service which is, in my opinion, very expensive, or I can create a domain that will store all of my information .
We called Ted ‘Mister Data Storage’ back in college. Make no mistake. We loved the guy, but he was weird, really, really weird. Mister Online Data Backup used to strut around campus wearing this big, thick coat with a lot of pockets. And hanging out of all of these pockets? You guessed it, my man. Data storage devices! CD’s, discs, computer memory cards, IBM ports, wires, sockets, and even old Playstation memory cards. I had no idea why he had all of that on him, but he always claimed he found uses for everything. What was great about him was that if you’re computer ever crashed or you were in the library without a disc to record whatever it is you were working on, he would be there in an instant with whatever help you needed or whatever item you needed to get your task done correctly and on time . Weird guy for sure, but I still miss him. He had a way of carrying himself at a higher standard than everyone else, but it honestly came as a shock when he died of a heart attack . It wasn’t like he ate any greasier fast food than the rest of us. In fact, with him running around campus all the time to help with everybody’s computer problems, he probably got more exercise than any of us did. The poor guy was only 23 years old and had just graduated college and moved to Chicago for a great job, then one day it hit him while he was showering, and the poor guy never saw it coming . I miss him to this day .
I now live in Louisiana, of course I moved there right before Katrina came and demolished everything, but my friend ended up capitalizing on the tragedy and started up a new company . It is a Data Recovery business, it is a great way to do business since it is not your customer that is paying you but their insurance company so you are pretty much guaranteed payment. If someone ends up with the basement overflowing after some torrential rains, or they have substantial roof damage after some tornado hits town, or if a pipe freezes and explodes all over then their insurance will cover restoration. My friends business is growing very nicely.

Luckily she took the Escalade. At the time, she obviously was unaware of what was going to happen, but the decision to take the Escalade is why she is still here today . When the Emergency Backup was completed, we received pictures of the damage and couldn’t believe our eyes . It was a gorgeous morning in Chicago, without a cloud in the sky so I didn’t mind taking the mini-coupe . My office is right down the road a little ways so I always take the mini-coupe . It seemed as if an instant after my thinking that it was a beautiful morning the winds started blowing and my car basically started shaking and veering all over the road . If I would have put the radio on, like I did every morning, I would have known about the tornado, as I found out later that the warnings were everywhere . But I had an audio book in. Mara had just gotten to town and the thing hit right in the center of downtown. It ripped down Main and over to fourth street. The tornado took off part of the Nieman Marcus building as well as the Trump Tower . Mara slammed on the brakes and ditched the Escalade. She ran into the old bank building, which is why she is alive today. It was about 10 days later when we got the Escalade back. What a mess.
I was really happy that Joe’s business was booming. It was doing so well in fact that he won an award for selling the most cars in Wisconsin in one year . The one downfall of winning such a great award as a car salesman is, how does one retain customers . We decided that we needed a computer system to organize all of the customers information, where we would know where they live, what they bought, and how long ago they bought it . The method we are using right now is outdated and probably horribly inaccurate, as it is all on paper and it is only what the customer purchased and what date they purchased it . As of lately, business has been so great that we don’t have much room left to keep these paper copies, all of the files and folders in the office and storage rooms are full ! Joe and the other salespeople have been racking their brains. What the most frustrating part of all of this is, is that we know what needs to be done, but everyone is offering to do it for an astronomical price, that we definitely cannot afford . One lazy afternoon we had a guy walk in with a briefcase, looking very professional . We all wondered what he was doing here because it was obvious he wasn’t in the store to buy a car, he eventually told us that he was there with a Data storage. He mapped everything out for us and even suggested a store that we could buy the software from, he was amazing with us and I don’t think we could have pulled any of it off without him ! Hopefully we impressed him enough with our skills that he will come to us when he needs a new car . Has anyone seen the coffee machine?

My friend is seriously obsessed with his music, he could not stop telling me all about it . He’s got over 30,000 artists and tunes on his computer. I’m lucky if I can download anything on mine, but I usually play compact discs anyway. I couldn’t believe Brian’s collection. He doesn’t have any particular taste in music, so his collection can be impressive to anyone with any taste in music . He loves every one of them, from the New Pornographers to Death Cab for Cutie and back. “This is the perfect Data storage!” He screamed, one can feel the excitement just emanating off of him when he listens to music .

A majority of computer users do not play games on their computers (they probably have a play station or a Wii), nor do they use massively processor hungry applications like computer aided design packages or finite element (fea) calculation packages.

Computer vendors would have us believe that we all need multi processor cores so we can multi task and have a finite number of applications running it the same time when in all fairness most users will never have more than three or four applications open at any on time.

One fact that is undeniable though is that when you go and buy your next Pc with all its raw computing power you will probably still need to by something extra to make it work efficiently within a short space of time.

A well rounded and efficient computer or laptop isn’t just about the processor speed, granted that does help but only up to a point. A good analogy would be why buy a sports car that is capable of over a hundred and fifty miles and hour when the most you will ever do is 90?

Equally, with your average car a good all round performer will be the sum of all its components, tires, suspension etc. not just the power of the engine. But what good is a 150 mph engine if the tires are only rated for 70mph.

The same applies to your average Pc or laptop but with different components and whilst automotive legislation will ensure that the automobile that you buy will be fit for purpose, computer vendors and system integrators are getting away with selling what many experts would believe is really “barely fit for purpose”.

What we are in reality talking about here of course is the system memory.

As Pc power increases programs get more complex, and as they get more complex they use more computer memory.

The more programs you install even if only working in the background i.e. anti virus programs, music programs and system utilities the more memory is used and so on.

Simply put the more memory the programs have to access, the faster and more efficiently the Pc will work.

This is all well and good but the problem occurs when your computer runs out of memory and has to start using the hard drive as extended memory instead.

This is magnitudes slower performance wise than the system memory and will not stop your Pc from working but will certainly slow it down, sometimes to the point of almost stopping.

It’s a bit like putting a block of wood under your cars gas pedal, it will still accelerate but just not as quickly as it is really capable of.

Computer resellers really should be giving the best advice to there customers at point of sale rather than taking the quick buck on a quick sale especially at the budget end of the market.

After all lets face it, a little additional memory should not cost more than $50 – $100 extra and is a worthy investment if you plan to keep your hardware for more than a year, or have more than a handful of programs you want to load up.

Are computer resellers all to blame though? Expert opinion would say not , the computer manufactures should set a minimum level of memory in new systems given that they are well aware that budget machines memory levels are arguably barely adequate.

The positive side to all this is of course that there is a massive market in after sales computer memory which seems to grow ever stronger because of the need for more memory in a machine.

Computer memory upgrades are easily obtainable fortunately and something which you can do yourself. You can do an memory upgrade scan to ensure and guarantee that the memory is indeed correct for your system and fit it yourself when it arrives a few days later if ordered on line.

Or you can contact you local computer repair professional who can also perform this inexpensive task if you have already purchased a new Pc or if your existing system is running slowly.

If you are thinking of purchasing new hardware then do yourself a favor and make sure you get a memory upgrade if you are purchasing a budget machine. If the salesperson does not give you the option ask for it. You will be the person that benefits in the long run.

One plus about leaving is that I get to show all of my friends the amazing pictures that I have from the trip, but I was so caught up in being there that I almost forgot my camera . For some reason I was forced to share my computer with my loving sister because she broke hers, how that is my fault I do not know . One good thing is that she is out looking for one right now so I can only dream that she won’t be using mine in the near future . The only problem is that she is seriously the most picky girl I know so if she doesn’t find something that fits her perfectly she won’t buy one, which is a great asset I guess, but it sucks for me . It scares me that she doesn’t really know how to use a computer, and now she is using mine . It seems like I remember having one or two photographs of my boyfriend on here too now that I think about it and either she accidentally moved them or deleted them. I’m going to have to ask her about it because one of the photographs can’t be replaced. The original tangible picture is gone so the one that I had on my desktop was the only one and like an idiot I didn’t make any copies of it . Now that I’m looking all of the emails between him and I are missing, that girl is going to get a reaming when she gets home, I don’t care what my dad says she is not allowed to use my computer anymore, not when she deletes my things . They document some really personal things and special moments that I don’t want to forget. In fact the more I’m looking around at all the journals and special letters the more I realize I better do the Data Backup Services before she gets home and needs to use my computer again!
