Do you have a computer addiction? Does it seem as though you spend every free minute you have sitting in front of your computer? If you find that you can’t stop thinking about surfing the net, and become agitated if you can’t check your email account every few minutes, you probably do have a problem. Computer addictions can turn into a severe medical condition. Believe it or not, doctors will prescribe medication to help over active bloggers resist their computer systems.
Spending too much time at your computer system can lead to many emotional problems. The computer addiction problems can include: obesity, back pain, insomnia, and stress. A direct effect of some of these issue could be “loss of employment”. It’s not all too uncommon for a person to lose their job if they come to work half asleep every day. But another problem comes when the employee uses their work computer for personal use.
Work computers are not meant for personal use. Employers lose hundreds of millions of dollars worth of work hours every year due to “employee theft”. Please seek help before your “computer addiction” cost you your job. Help is available, you just have to seek help. If you feel you are addicted, use your addiction to help yourself. Your computer and the world wide web are great products and services when used appropriately, and in moderation.
